CasusCasus brings humanity into circus through a breathtaking and fragile display of skills. Through bold, quirky and captivating performance the four members of Casus (Emma Serjeant, Jesse Scott, Natano Fa'anana and Lachaln McAulay) bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the circus and physical theatre industries having previously performed extensively in Australia and around the world with C!RCA, The Flying Fruit-fly Circus, Polytoxic, and Briefs Collective. Formed mid 2011, Casus present their premier work Knee Deep. Four performers explore the boundaries of strength and tenderness. Bodies are pushed and pulled, weighed and tested, probing the limits of both physicality and feeling. As unlikely bonds are forged and acts of intimacy cohabit space with thrilling physical feats, viewers are invited to re-imagine notions of our limitations. Throughout this journey the artists reveal that delicacy does not necessarily equate to fragility, although it is often a fine line they tread. Knee Deep is a textured landscape of circus and musical accompaniment, culminating in circus with a contemporary twist. |
Bamboozled Productions
Bamboozled Productions is set to be one of the headline acts for this years Catapult! With four amazing acts - Heading up with 'The Doogans' - The Duo Show, as well as performing their three solo acts - Pandora Pink, Mr Spin & Enrico.
The Duo Show
The Duo Show has a dynamic pace, mixed up with quirky improvised chitchat and phenomenal skills. The two characters are charming, mischievous and irrestably funny.
Pandora Pink
Louise Clarke is the queen of characterization, developing Cellulite Patricia from the 'Thighs of Steel', belly-dancing Olivia from 'Evel Knievel's fan club' & the awarding winning heavy metal music enthusiast & Hungarian dancer who was looking for love in 'P.S I Love You'. Louise has been performing & devising productions for the street, circus & cabaret for the last 15 years and launched her solo career with her latest charismatic, cheeky character The rock n' roll princess, Miss Pandora Pink.
"Louise's fun and sexy character combined with impressive skills and a cheeky wit attracted large adoring crowds to her performances."
Brendan Coleman - Coordinator Fremantle Arts Festival
Mr Spin
The show is a highly skilled, comic vaudevillian style street/circus act. Mr. Spin is a lovable, charismatic character that is a favourite with all audiences. He performs a beautiful three-ball juggle, diabolo, Chinese devil-sticking with base bats, one ball manipulation and an eight ball juggle, mixed with mad capped antics and a incredible sense of fun, not to mention a few hat tricks thrown in! This all culminates into him jumping on to crazy zigzag unicycle of his own design, where he juggles three baseball bats while balancing a glass of water on his head!
"Mr. Spin is rocking and a pleasure to work with. He seems to pop up at every festival that I go to around the world and I always find myself gravitating towards this show. I love it. It's fast, funny and is without a question of a doubt one of the most skilled acts in the world today."
Mark Duckenfield - Coordinator of The World Championships Street theatre festival, Dublin
Enrico
Enrico is a silent clown with strange ideas. His audiences witness circus feats that they have never seen before.
Enrico plays bass guitar like a true maestro whilst balancing two balls on a mouthpiece and riding a contorted mini unicycle.
He likes to blow up balloons ... until they pop!
He has a troublesome relationship with his rebellious jacket.
He likes red, and round, and things that are red and round together.
From the start of the show audiences are endeared to this character wishing desperately for him to 'get it right'....or wrong. Whichever way it goes, with Enrico, it is always spectacular. Skill and dexterity, shocks and hilarity, see it to believe it!
